Now, this is something that I’ve heard of more recently than in the past and I’ve been painting Warhammer minis for like two years now. (I’ve posted in this post but then I got to thinking about it again)
People playing with unpainted armies. Just plain Warhammer gray plastic. Granted, some folks even roped in armies that just had a primer coat on them.
So it makes me wonder, what’s the big deal?
Personally, I don’t see a problem with it but at the same time, I’d like to try and gain more feedback from other Warhammer fans to see what the deal is. This is what I have heard so far from some:
- It’s much more fun to play against a painted army
- Why should Warhammer be paint-to-play?
- Refusing to battle unpainted armies seems snobby
- I have a hard time telling some models apart when playing against unpainted minis
So if interest, I’d appreciate anyone who fills out the form below:
Or drop a comment, even DM me on my socials if you want!
I’ll write a follow-up and let you all know how the results went.

I hope you found this post enjoyable. Have any questions or opinions? If so share them in the comments.
Happy Tuesday everyone!
