It’s true.
The current theme of spring is work, work, and more work all while making career-changing decisions. It’s exhausting to say the least.

I would rather be at my workbench.
I haven’t had a good chunk of time to sit down at my workbench and just disappear into the hobby zone. Which has brought on a case of the blues with a mild touch of burnout. What time I did have was spent sporadically completing small tasks and attempting to make sense of my once neat hobby supplies.
I am proud of these small tasks and minor accomplishments. Even if it’s minor I’m still doing something I enjoy!
I managed to stop at my local hobby shop on my day off in-between grocery shopping! The Comic Store has always been a great source of joy for myself and others. In the past few months, I haven’t been able to visit due to work, weather, and the business moving to a new local. It’s closer to me now, right around the corner of my morning job.
It’s a little disheveled due to the move but I still managed to find what I need which was black and white paint. I even picked up two of vallejo’s speed paint!
They’re pretty neat!
Here are some of the hobby work I managed to accomplish over the last few weeks since the Nightingale and Gourmet Haros.
The haro in hand is my attempt at painting Mars, my third planet haro. It’s a tad bit tricky because I’m trying to realistically capture the Planetary surface but there’s little in references. A lot of photos of the planet look vastly different.
The blue little dude is a kaiju mini file that was shared with me by Logan! The file is great but the print came out a little wonky. He’s a cute little dude nonetheless.
The final is my attempt to rework my MG Zaku Warrior horsemen of the apocalypse build off that me and a few of the guys were working on a while (a few years) ago. The texture is done by Tamiya putty dabbled on by an old paintbrush. It’s going pretty good so far!

Have a great Tuesday!
