What a last few days, week almost.
(But it’s only Wednesday?)
It’s been both extremely busy as well as being very fulfilling!
I started off Saturday by attending Pop comic con in Lowell, Massachusetts , at Mill No.5.
There’s something awesome about smaller comic conventions compared to the larger scale ones. More time to walk around. Better connections that can be made. Overall, a good time, which is exactly what my partner and I had.
Parking was easy and accessible. Mill No.5 is a gorgeous building if you like mill style architecture. The vendors were polite and welcoming. Free admission. Booths ranging from anime merch, edibles, and game demos (that I regret not trying). There was plenty of stuff for hobbyists to buy.
I’d love to attend the next Pop Comic Con, or any other convention that’s held there. I know they do a lot of them for various different things. Some stores are permanent stores such as the gaming store we visited.
I managed to snag some alien comics (including one of the original 80s run that had the first engineer debut outside of Prometheus), Spray paint from a vending machine (How cool was that!), and some cute stickers/trinkets.
There was also a nifty art gallery in the Mill as well. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re ever in Lowell.

The next part of my weekend was spent building these cool little terrain/dungeon bits for my partners’ DND campaigns. They were easy to assemble, little glue required. The only downside was that some of the runners seemed to be missing, and orders got messed up. Can’t knock the company, Tower Rex, since they’re based in Ukraine.
I’m on the hunt for a states based company, so there’s less of a chance for errors.
I did like the alter build. Very culty. Very nice.

After all that was built, I was able to play my first in person round of DnD! I play as a seven foot tall, 350lb, Eldritch horror of a mushroom man named Dave who is on a quest to annihilate the people who killed his foster deer family. Dave does not speak. Dave just vibes. I had a lot of fun being in character and just tagging along with the rest of the party. I’m grateful they were cool with me joining in.

I also spent some time at the workbench this week! I’ve been printing and painting like a fool! There’s a mound of minis I need to finish painting as well as the cerulean project I’m cracking out before November hits.
I currently have a six hour wraith printing on my Mars 3 pro. A few of these minis will be for DnD, and some will be for dioramas.

As for the cerulean project, I’m trying to work on it without fretting over getting pictures during the wip phase of it. I’ll post it when it’s ready.
