Over the past few months, a good friend of mine has been working on this awe-inspiring project. It is a MASSIVE resin print of Space Godzilla. Toddler sized? Baby sized? It is the only size scale that I can compare it too. Super thick.

The work that was put into this Space Godzilla was an impressive feat to witness. Logan (Shinagamiartstudio) printed this behemoth using about 8kg of filament, which is quite a bit, and several different mediums for the skins. If I remember correctly, he also sculpted the teeth and painted it with Turbodork paints.

It all paid out for the end result. A really fucking cool build and I am so proud of him for it.
Another individual who I would like to highlight is Vince, aka ShipRekt_Mecha, because he also partially inspired this post as well. Vince does a lot of snazzy stuff including, but not limited to, drawing and dioramas. He has been pushing a lot of his art in contests. Most recently, he won a competition to get a shirt design done by Tiny Little Monster co.

Seeing him push his art in such an unbashful way is absolutely motivating.
This leads me to the main point of this post; I love witnessing my friends create. Honestly one of my favorite things to watch is someone transforming materials into something unique, like Logan turning filament into a piece of art or Vince now having shirts featuring his art for people to wear. There is a passion in their process that almost feels contagious, a creative flu even. Watching a friend paint something then in turn leads me to wanting to print and paint (and Logan did inspire my current mini session this month). The cycle continues.
Often the art that they create expresses their personalities. My friends often create things that mirror what they are enthusiastic about. Which often can see that in what they craft and how they go about it, process wise.
It is even better when they share these processes with you. It is sentimental and oh so special that they feel that you are important enough to share with. A special privilege. Yes, I know that some individuals post the whole start to finish online for everyone to see. However, that is still an intimate moment because these people are vulnerable to something they care passionately about. Whether that be painting resin minis, Gunpla, Warhammer, or even making music.
Gotta love Friends succeeding in their passions. One of the finer things in life.
