Return of MetaZoo!

After a period of decline and uncertainty, MetaZoo has finally found a new home under GameQbator!

CEO Rick Arons announced this in a letter to the community. He states that:

We are happy to announce that our first MetaZoo product will be a new, original trading card game available in Q1 2025. This base set will be the first of several planned expansions that begin to develop the world of MetaZoo.

Rick Arons has plenty of experience with trading card games. He worked for both Wizards of the Coast and the Pokémon company and has close to thirty years of experience.

GameQbator also has Richard Garfield on it’s team!

I’m uncertain if previously purchased or owned MetaZoo cards would be viable in the new base sets. This would potentially hinder previous players’ card bases. We’ll have to wait and see when more information is released.

It’s an exciting time for this if they can pivot away from whatever weird cryptocurrency/NFT scams and avoid using any AI art going forward. Cryptids are my bread and butter, combine it with a game I can play with my friends? It’s a treat!
