I have been playing Magic: The Gathering for quite some time, starting around high school. My first sets were the Theros block and Gatecrash, purchased from our local pharmacy because the concept of a game store was foreign to teen me.
The decks I played with were roughly assembled, to say the least, based on how cool I thought they were.
I lost a lot.
Most games I played, honestly.
Then college came, and textbooks caused me to sell off most of my card collection for far too little compared to what I paid. Not even sure it covered a single textbook.
Meeting my partner and realizing he’s a bigger magic nerd has helped me improve my skills. I’m still not great with deck building, and he helps to fix the flaws.
(A skill I wish I had!)
Which produced this sweet little love letter to both him and my favorite tribal decks. Slivers and Eldrazi.
It got even better when I found a fun card called Slivdrazi Monstrosity.

What a sweet, sweet feast for my eyes. Eldrazi with sliver traits? Slivers with annihilator? Oh, my…
A new commander for a new commander deck. How fun would that be!
Thankfully, we found a local that sells singles at a decent price.
I can see why they never went through with this being an actual card, as much as I wish otherwise. My play group is fine with test cards because they run pretty competitive decks compared to me, who goes:
Haha, little slivers!
It’s not going to be used for official events, just fun.
I’m starting to ruffle a deck list together. A vampiric tutor here. A harmonic sliver there. Maybe an Ulamog. Who knows.

We’ll see where the winds take us, won’t we?
What’s your favorite tribal deck?
